My name is Jasmine and I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator in Ontario and also a teacher candidate at Brock University. I have a huge passion for working with young children and have spent 8 years working as a kindergarten ECE in the Halton Region. I have 3 young children of my own and they are one of my biggest motivating factors for being where I am today.
I am a huge advocate for children's play. I love engaging children in open-ended play experiences and personally feel that there is something magical in their messes. I also feel that, in our technology driven world, young children and even their adult counterparts, don't spend enough time in our natural world. In providing these types of experiences for my own children and students, I've seen first hand how play can be rich avenues to learn about math, literacy, science, motor development and so much more! I really am passionate about early childhood experiences and am hoping to use this blog as a platform to share my learning and reflections with the hope that you might be inspired to join me.
